Rev. Russell Floyd, Senior Pastor
Since graduating from Baylor University, I have served the church for more than 30 years. primarily as a Sr. Minister over four decades in six different appointments. The churches have ranged in size, location, and demographic membership makeup. Every church I have served has contributed to my core values of: encouraging discipleship, building up people, developing staff and teams, envisioning new ministries, growing membership, strengthening stewardship, and leading worship.
I am married to Terri who is an educational administrator. We share four grown children and five grandchildren who bring genuine smiles into our lives. Last spring, we made the decision to relocate to the Austin area to be closer to two of our four children, along with three of our five grandchildren.
I love the game of golf. I am a general sports nerd. Saltwater fishing calls our name at least once a year. Let's talk Tour de France. I am the household cook while Terri runs along behind me, cleaning up my mess.
I am thrilled to serve FUMC, of Pflugerville. It is my style to visit in person with anyone wanting to know more. We can chat in the setting of your choice, hearing the stories that make you who you are. Let's share a cup of coffee, cold drink, or meal when you have some time. Connect to Pastor Russell Here.
Aaron Carter, Sr. Associate Pastor and Church Planter
I was born in San Antonio, Texas and at the age of thirteen, I moved to Moore, Oklahoma following a parental job change. After graduating high school, I attended Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma and then Newman University in Wichita, Kansas on basketball scholarships. I graduated in May of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
In response to a call to preach, I prepared for pastoral ministry by attending the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. In May of 2010, I earned a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Church and Community Leadership.
In July 2019 I was appointed to serve as the Senior Associate Church Planter of First UMC of Pflugerville. I provide worship leadership, oversight to student ministries and development to discipleship pathways. In addition, I am starting a new multi-ethnic Methodist faith community in east Pflugerville that reveals the relevance and power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, practical faith, and church community.
My wife, Earind, and I live in Pflugerville with our boxer, Ali. As a consumer of coffee, stories, and purpose, I welcome meeting and working with new people. Connect to Pastor Aaron Here.
Stephanie Katauskas, Director of Children's Ministries
My name is Stephanie Katauskas and I have been a member of Pflugerville United Methodist Church for 9 years. My husband Brent and I are both from Illinois and decided to settle in Texas straight out of college. I started my career as an Architectural Historian and I'm excited to make the transition to Director of Children's Education. I remember when I first came to PFUMC, I saw what an amazing family-friendly church it was, I just knew it was where I wanted to raise my family. My husband and I did not have children yet, but I just knew that this was where my kids would grow up. I've held that feeling on my heart and now that my boys are here I'm so glad that they have an amazing church family. As the Director of Children's Education, a church member, and a parent, I have a vested interest in our church kids and the wonderful programs at PFUMC.

Trevor Shaw, Director of Worship and Arts
Trevor grew up in Northumberland, Pennsylvania. He was immersed in church music as a child, singing and playing trombone for services from a young age, nearly always accompanied by his mother, a church organist and choir director. He went on to earn a degree in music at the University of North Texas, where he played trombone in the renowned One O’Clock Jazz Lab Band. Trevor’s professional life led him into a career of music within the United Methodist Church, beginning with eleven years as the Music and Arts Director of the Denton Wesley Foundation. While there, he began writing music for the choirs he conducted, and quickly discovered his love of composition. Since moving to Austin in 2013, Trevor has been active as both a music performer and teacher. He is a founding member and the Artistic Director of Inversion Ensemble, a choral group dedicated to performing new musical works. He is also the co-owner and principal arranger of the Christmas caroling company, Tinsel. Trevor has conducted choirs throughout the US and the UK. His compositions have been performed by a variety of choral and instrumental ensembles on five continents.

Coe Croce, Lay Leader
I love Jesus, fishing, and working with kids. I grew up in Petersburg, Texas, a small rural community, and I was blessed to participate in the many activities that being in a small school allowed. I was a very active member in 4H, FFA, and in my youth groups. I knew early on that after attending Angelo State University I wanted to work with kids in an educational capacity. My wife, Pam, and I have been members at Pflugerville UMC since 2012, and we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year. My son Ryan was my joy until the two grandkids, Evadeen and Eli, came along. We also have a beautiful daughter-in-love, Stacey.
My efforts to serve God through Lay Leadership duties, the Pflugerville UMC kids ministry and other youth ministries are similar to what God had planned for me back when I was just a youngster.
