Their work includes construction and renewing of mission facilities, teaching, witnessing, conducting medical clinics, conducting Bible study or Bible School for children, and serving in disaster relief efforts around the world. Pflugerville FUMC members volunteer for UMVIM mission trips both locally and globally.
The Early Response Team (ERT) arm of UMCOR responds to natural or civil disasters of such magnitude that they overwhelm a community’s ability to recover on its own. Pflugerville FUMC ERT volunteers are among the first to arrive at disaster sites to assist victims and distribute ERT-prepared Cleaning Supply Buckets. Pflugerville FUMC outfitted more than 100 buckets in 2016.
