On Saturday, September 12, from 8am-1pm, we invite you join us for the Interfaith Day of Service. As members of the Pflugerville Interfaith Council, we are joining together with multiple communities of faith to serve at Copperfield Elementary in PfISD. From landscaping, to painting, pressure washing, roof cleaning, brush clearing and removal, and a new food pantry & clothes set-up, we will demonstrate God’s love in a practical way as we come together in unity with neighbors of faith here in Pflugerville. We invite to save the date, and if you know you are already available, please go ahead and sign up here.
Our amazing PSCS preschool staff pour so much love, time, and energy into our students every day! We’d love to show them just how much they are appreciated through our Adopt a Month program. Sign up to support our 24 staff members with a thoughtful note, gift, or treat during your adopted month. It’s a simple way to brighten their day and let them know how grateful we are for all they do!
The Midweek Food & Faith Lift is back! It’s a wonderful opportunity to fellowship together as we grow in our faith. Beginning September 16, we’ll gather for 7 weeks on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:45pm. We’ll eat, worship, learn new skills, and discuss those skills together in table groups. In our weekly gatherings, we’ll utilize a resource from the Stephen Ministry network called “12 Unexpected Ways to Care: Practical Skills for Exceptional Relating.” A review says that this resource “provides an antidote to common yet unhelpful approaches to caring, equipping us with practical, research-backed techniques for strengthening existing relationships, forging new ones, and bringing a much-appreciated change into others’ lives.” Our highly skilled and trained Stephen Ministers will be guiding us through this material. We’re so excited to learn new skills and grow in healthier ways of relating to one another. This kind of learning and growth is applicable to all of us. Plus, we’ll receive communion together each week to close our sessions.
All ages are welcome to participate. Plus, we’ll have special programming for children from age 3 through 5th grade. You don’t need to sign up; just show up. Beginning September 16, we hope to see you on Wednesday nights!
Our PfUMC Garage Sale is coming up this October, and we’re getting ready! We’re looking for gently used items to donate and volunteers to help make the sale a success. Want to donate or volunteer? Text Melanie Rios at 512-569-7558 to get involved!
