What We Believe
“Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.” ...John Wesley
Our Mission Statement: To make new disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of the World
Our Core Values: Love, Family, Outreach, Spiritual Growth, Hope.
Our Vision: Seeking and Sharing God’s Love in the World.
We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father as the creator of heaven and earth.
God breathed life into every human being and therefore we should honor all of creation and love all people.
We believe that humanity has a problem which causes us to sin. Therefore, humans fall short of God’s glory. The fact is we all sin. Because God loves us so much, God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to take human form and to live, to teach, to heal, to offer hope, to die and rise again so that we might have eternal life in Him. He gave us this gift even though we are sinners.
We believe Jesus was “God with skin on.” He is the perfect example of God’s love. His teaching and example provides for us a picture of who God is and how we might live in Christ.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the counselor, the advocate, the breath of God. Jesus assured all that we would never be alone, and the Holy Spirit is the evidence of that in our lives.
We believe that scripture is the inspired word of God as found in both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible contains all that is necessary for us to find salvation through Jesus Christ.
