Information

Bastrop: 1:01 PM / 8/28/2017
Here is the contact for work in Bastrop. The Long Term team will also be dealing with the short term requests. The folks at Bastrop UMC don't expect them to have places for us to go until the rain stops. We delivered 144 buckets to them. The other 100 are at Oak Hill ready to go. Blessings, Susan

Refugio & Woodsboro, 1:06 PM, 8/28/2017
People in Refugio and Woodsboro are ready for immediate assistance in cleaning up. Refugio has also asked for a sump pump. I know we have one on a trailer somewhere, but just to let you know they have asked for one. I have also told Ken Houston in Refugio that we are working to get them a generator for the parsonage. Just an FYI. Thanks, Karen Boehk

Bastrop,9:24 AM, 8/28/2017
One more piece of information that I hope will help you to know. I learned from the pastor that the sanctuary of FUMC Bastrop is flooded, but at the same time the Fellowship Hall is serving as a shelter for Red Cross.

La Grange, 7:18 AM 8/28/2017
To offer information for planning efforts, we learned this morning from the pastor of FUMC in La Grange that the Colorado river is expected to crest at 51 feet which I almost twice the flood level. Half of the city of La Grange and parts of Fayette county are under mandatory evacuation today.
"Half of La Grange and parts of Fayetteville county are under mandatory evacuation today. Colorado River is expected to crest at 51 ft. Well above normal."
Please join us in prayer for all in the area.
